El Hagakure (葉隠? que significa «a la sombra de las hojas» o «escondido en la vegetación») es una obra literaria japonesa escrita por Yamamoto Tsunetomo (1659-1719), un samurái que en el siglo XVIII se retiró a las montañas para escribir las reglas del bushidō, con la intención de que fueran útiles a las generaciones venideras.

Las palabras tienen alma, los signos de puntuación sirven para vestirla. Para vestirlas en invierno y desnudarlas en verano.El orden de las palabras no es como el de los números, sí altera el resultado, el significado.Las palabras son interpretables. Nada es blanco o negro, todo es según el color del cristal con que se mire y nadie conoce el color ese, ni el suyo ni el de los demás, hasta que es demasiado tarde.Las palabras también se interpretan distinto según el momento. En verano helar es bueno, en invierno helar es malo. En verano derretir es malo, en invierno derretir es bueno.Para escribir bien es importante elegir bien las palabras por su alma, intentar saber el color a través del cual se van a recibir, ponerlas en el orden correcto y vestirlas con signos de puntuación adequados.Escribir no es juntar simbolitos, escribir es hacer todo eso de más arriba bien.
